Heal and Grow, Together
“Hi, I’m Laura. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Life Coach with over ten years of experience in helping people grow, and helping couples and families thrive joyfully together. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families develop deeper, more authentic connections, create more meaning and joy, and live their highest and best lives.
My greatest strength as a counselor and coach is my ability to bring out the very best in people. I am nurturing, supportive and non-judgmental, and also an active partner in your growth: offering questions, insight, humor, tools and empathy.
As your individual therapist or life coach, I can help you navigate difficult transitions and use them as a launching pad to a new era of growth and fulfillment. If you’re looking to heal and rebuild after a traumatic breakup or divorce (or other hard life experience), I can help you pick up the pieces, put the past behind you, and create a bright new future. If you are dealing with grief and loss, feeling anxious, depressed, or just plain stuck in life, I can help you get unstuck, regain positive movement, and start feeling good again. If you are struggling with low self-esteem or low confidence, I can help you to clearly identify and develop your strengths, and feel like the amazing person you are. Together we’ll work to re-energize your life, and help you embody your happiest, most authentic self.
If we work together for couples counseling, I will help you and your partner communicate better, repair trust, share your deepest needs and desires, rekindle your passion for each other, and strengthen your connection. I use evidence-based practices such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Techniques, to help couples translate good intentions in to positive action. I am LGBTQIA-affirming, and celebrate all types of relationships. Our work together will help you create the honest, open, and joyful relationship you desire.
In addition to my work with couples, I have vast experience in helping families increase positive communication, respect one another, and learn to live happily together. My first degree was in parent education, and I and particularly enjoy helping parents learn how to work as a team, and build a safe, nurturing and supportive home for their children. Whether you’re dealing with tantrums, out-of-control teens, or a blended family situation, I can help you create peace in your home.
Beyond my years of education, training, and work experience as a therapist, I am informed by my life experience. I am a happily married mom with grown children. I counsel counselors, and enjoy working as a clinical supervisor who helps other therapists learn and grow. I am honored to bring the fullness of my life experience to my work with you.”
Laura is available to meet with you in-person at our Broomfield Colorado office location, as well as across the US and internationally through online video.
