Maggie Graham, M.Ed., LPC, CPCC

Kind, Thoughtful, Life and Career Coach

“Hi, I’m Maggie. I’m a career coach, a life coach, and a therapist. Over the years I’ve helped my clients grow into fulfilling new careers, as well as become happier, healthier people. I’m a therapist, with experience in helping people overcome things like poor body image, difficult life transitions, self confidence, and anxiety. But in addition to my counseling background, I have Master’s Degrees in Career Development and Special Education, and I’m a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) with years of experience in career coaching, and leadership coaching. This all makes me perfectly suited to help you overcome obstacles, use your strengths, and get engaged with a lifestyle and career that you feel really great about.”

My first passion is career coaching: If you can’t figure out what to do with your life, whether that’s because you’ve lost your way or you never really found it, you’re in the right place. I love supporting people in their career exploration, job search, and creation of healthy work environments. You could be a dreamer, a pragmatist, or a blend of the two – wherever you fall, there’s a place for you in the world of work. Together, you and I will find that overlapping space at the intersection of you at your best and the spot where the world’s greatest needs reside.”

“In addition to helping you get clarity about what you want to do, I can help you get the job. I’m a certified resume writer, so I can help you get your foot in the door. My background as a leadership coach can help you be extremely well prepared for your interviews. But more importantly, I know that having a satisfying career is about more than just the job. Our work can help you create a whole, happy, balanced life that is meaningful and enjoyable on every level.”

“If we work together we’ll talk about your whole world: who’s influencing you, how money factors in, what makes you back away with an “ick” expression on your face, and what makes your heart open. It’s all fair game because we can’t just take a pie wedge slice out of your life and call it “career” and let it stand in isolation. Who you are at work is intricately tied to who you are at home. If you’re frustrated at work, how does that fit with the rest of your life? Are you in the midst of a new, unfamiliar phase of your career, or are you going through something that feels eerily familiar, where you find yourself whispering “not again” to yourself? Are you in a toxic work environment? Or are you being challenged to grow, personally and professionally? Our work together will help you identify your “growth opportunities” and give you new tools to create a new reality.”

“In addition to addressing your satisfaction with your career, we can explore things like your health and your work / life balance. I’ve coached people through weight loss and unhealthy eating patterns, and into a healthy, active lifestyle. I’ve supported people in healing compulsions such as overusing digital media, or video game / porn addiction, so that they live enriching lives, connected to people who matter to them. I know how to help you manage the stress, anxiety, or depression that could get in the way of your personal and professional success.”

“Why would you want to share your deeply personal stories about career and work with me? First, because I want to hear them. I want to hear about where you’ve been illuminated with excitement in the past and where you’ve stumbled – together, we’ll make sense of it. Second, I’ve done my fair share of both triumphant fist-pumping and despair-ridden sobbing, so I recognize the potholes on these roads. Finally, I can share some tools with you that will invite clarity about your direction and move you towards what you want to create in your career.”

“Back to you: what do you want to create for yourself professionally? Who do you want to grow into on this journey? What’s in the way of you living the life you want? Let’s explore these questions, together.”
