Overview

Hi, I’m Brandy, and I’m so happy that you’re here. As a couples counselor, life coach, and therapist, my goal is to help you find more happiness in your life by creating relationships that are fulfilling and secure. I offer a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your strengths, goals, and obstacles, and we can work together to find your best path forward.

Past clients have described me as warm, welcoming, and empathetic. I will approach you with care and curiosity, working to understand your unique perspective and values so that we can center your growth work around what matters most to you. My ultimate hope is to empower you to continue creating positive change in your life, even after our work together ends.

Here are some of the specific areas we can focus on together:

Support for Your Relationship

I believe that anyone can create better relationships with others by building their understanding of themselves and their patterns. Gottman Couples Therapy uses the “sound relationship house” metaphor to identify the key components that create a healthy relationship. I will help you and your partner strengthen your relationship’s foundation in ways that improve your dynamic overall, making it easier for you to navigate issues that are making your relationship feel difficult so that you can create positive change together.

Here are some of the goals I can help you achieve:

  • Improving communication
  • Getting on the same page about parenting, finances, and future plans
  • Resolving conflict
  • Healing from relational wounds, like infidelity
  • Repairing trust
  • Improving sexual and emotional intimacy
  • Premarital counseling and coaching

The best route to improving your relationship depends on your unique needs and goals. Many couples seeking to make positive improvements in their relationships benefit most from a relationship coaching approach, while others are in need of couples and family therapy. I am licensed to provide therapy services in the state of Washington and I can provide coaching to clients anywhere.

About Me

I received my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Master of science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University. In addition to my work with couples and individual adults, I also have experience providing Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy to children diagnosed with Autism and their families. I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) in the state of Washington.

When I’m not working, I like to explore the amazing food and events in Portland with my partner, and find hidden gems in vintage shops and local bookstores.
