Meet Lauren: a couples counselor, life coach, and therapist who uses a collaborative approach to help you connect with your strengths, enhance your emotional well-being, and develop healthy, enriching connections with the most important people in your life.
“Lauren is an empathetic and attentive therapist who creates a safe space for her clients. Her compassionate approach and active listening skills make it easy to open up and share thoughts and feelings…I highly recommend Lauren for her professionalism and genuine care.”
It’s not easy being human. Our lives are filled with twists and turns that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, and discouraged. And while we live in a society that pushes us to be independent, we can’t forget that we are wired for connection. We’re not meant to navigate life’s challenges alone. Since connection is at the heart of our healing, health, and fulfillment, my goal as a couples counselor, life coach, and therapist is to help you find ways to authentically connect with yourself and others.
Using a warm and solution-focused approach, I collaborate with my clients to help them navigate transitions, overcome setbacks, and cultivate the self-awareness and compassion they need to live fuller, healthier lives. Ultimately, my priority in our work together is to create an environment where you feel safe and empowered to make positive changes in your life and relationships.
Outside of my role as a therapist, I’m also a wife, sister, and daughter who understands the difficulties and joys of significant relationships. Whether you are navigating serious challenges in your relationship, are hoping to strengthen your connection, or want to create a healthy foundation for a lifetime of love, I can help you and your partner.
When working with couples, I rely on evidence-based therapeutic frameworks that have been shown, through research and experience, to promote real and lasting change in relationships. Instead of rehashing old arguments and repeating unhelpful patterns, I help you and your partner understand yourselves and each other while providing you both with tools and strategies to create a healthy future together. I primarily draw from the Gottman Method (in which I have completed levels I and II training), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), and the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT). Ultimately, these approaches are considered the gold standard in couples’ work because they create insight into unhealthy relational patterns and offer practical skills and strategies to help you and your partner develop healthier and more fulfilling ways of relating to each other.
If you’re hoping to make positive changes in your relationship, here are some goals that I can help you and your partner with:
The best path to making improvements in your relationship depends on your unique situation, needs, and goals. I provide couples therapy in Colorado, and relationship coaching throughout the United States and abroad. In addition to my work with couples, I love helping my individual clients work toward their personal and relational goals. I use a holistic approach to coaching, combining evidence-based methods, a trauma-informed lens, and the mind-body connection. With warmth, empathy, and gentle encouragement, I support my clients in creating full, meaningful lives and relationships.
As a life coach, I can help you develop your identity, build healthy habits and routines, navigate life transitions, improve relationships, recover from breakups, develop dating and relationship skills, increase your self-confidence, and more.
I have a particular passion for working with young adults, as this stage of life includes significant life transitions, where we often learn who we are and where we want to go in life. Although filled with excitement, this life stage can also feel overwhelming and challenging to navigate. By creating a safe and supportive environment, I can help you understand and address the challenges you’re experiencing with healthy coping tools and strategies.
I also have specialized training and experience in supporting adults with ADHD through coaching. I can help you develop improved executive functioning skills, healthy habits, and strategies to be more successful in relationships and the workplace.
I provide life coaching throughout the United States and abroad.
Through therapy, I can help you address the symptoms of mild mental health concerns and heal from painful life experiences. Learn more about the differences between therapy and coaching, and which approach is right for you.
Originally from Houston, Texas, I moved to Colorado in 2017 to continue my education at Colorado State University. I received my master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. I’m currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Colorado.
My husband and I live in Breckenridge with our sweet rescue dog, Bailey. When I’m not meeting with clients, I spend as much time as I can outdoors enjoying the Colorado sunshine. I also love spending quality time with friends and family, tending to my growing plant collection, watching movies, reading, playing the piano, and enjoying live music.
If you’re interested in working together, I welcome the opportunity to meet with you!
