Thriving Personal & Professional Relationships

- Executive and Leadership Coaching Client

Therapist Overview

I specialize in helping people relate to each other and strengthen their connections, both in their personal relationships and in their professional ones. I have a unique and diverse skill-set: I’m both a licensed marriage and family therapist with vast experience helping couples and families thrive together, and I’m also a certified emotional intelligence coach who specializes in executive and leadership coaching.  I am able to provide therapy services in the state of Colorado and coaching services to clients located anywhere in the U.S. and internationally.

Therapy and Life Coaching

I have over seventeen years of experience working as an evidence-based therapist, relationship and career coach, and solution-oriented coach with individuals and couples — creating a strong foundation for my work. I have a caring, nonjudgmental, strength-based approach with clients, and work with individuals and couples to successfully navigate life’s challenges no matter how small or large. Life and relationships can be unpredictable so finding effective strategies to work through your relationship concerns is my number one priority.

My clients have said that their time spent with me has helped them to resolve their problems, regain their strength and resilience, build healthier and more enjoyable relationships and rediscover their sense of humor. I’ve also heard that our sessions feel safe, open, and balanced, that I listen well…but that I do more than just listen. I’m an active partner in your growth, encouraging gains of personal strength with honesty and respect.

It’s important to me to help clients find happiness, feel connected, create satisfying relationships and work lives, and to have fun and adventure. It’s equally important to help clients navigate through the challenges of life when those things are missing.

Couples Counseling and Relationship Coaching

I’m a highly experienced relationship coach, marriage counselor, couples therapist, and communication coach utilizing systems theory to understand the complex dynamics within relationships. The couples I work with are often dealing with relationship conflict, unhelpful communication habits, parenting concerns, feeling  “disconnected” from each other, or searching to repair trust after infidelity.

If you’re in a blended family situation, I can serve you as a blended family therapist and parenting coach. I also assist people who are working through a painful divorce or are considering a relationship break-up.

Working from a systems perspective, I work to understand the “whole” of your relationship,  your personal strengths, your strengths as a couple, and your opportunities to grow together. I believe that couples and individuals grow when given a trusting, thoughtful environment to safely express their concerns and get the guidance and support needed to explore new and meaningful ways of relating to each other. I’m here to be that guide for you.

Executive and Leadership Coaching

As an executive coach and leadership coach, I’ve helped executives and leaders across all levels of management in organizations for the past 15 years. I really enjoy coaching with individual leaders and leadership teams, helping them to close the gap between where they are now and where they would like to be.

My specific interest and certification in coaching is emotional intelligence —  a key driver of success in the workplace. I can help you increase your effectiveness as a leader, improve the communication within your organization, and strengthen your teams from the inside out. I work with many successful professionals to help them achieve at the highest levels and help them become more effective leaders. I encourage and lead my executive coaching clients in finding a better understanding of themselves and improved ways to manage themselves during challenging times in their careers.

Many executives and successful professionals can benefit from having a supportive coach to work with them on effective communication, management strategies as well as personal productivity and planning. If I’m assisting you as a coach, we can work together toward your goals in respectful, encouraging coaching sessions that will improve your relationships at work, your work/life balance and overall life satisfaction.

Emotional Intelligence Coaching

Beyond my private executive coaching and leadership coaching services, I’m trained and certified to provide EI assessments for individuals and teams using the Emotional Social Competency Inventory (ESCI). I’ve helped hundreds of leaders and many work teams increase levels of emotional intelligence which drives much of your success in the workplace. Understanding your impact at work can help you grow into top performance, creating new career opportunities or growing your current role.  The ESCI assessment is published in 16 languages and used by Fortune 100/500 companies–mid, small and start-up companies as well as public sector organizations across the globe.
