Bre is a believer in the power of healthy communication. She can help you start important conversations that lay the foundation for transformative growth.
“Bre is very bubbly but also patient and good at taking care of any concerns or questions throughout the process.”
Hello! My name is Bre. I thoroughly enjoy working with couples, families, and individuals, whether as a therapist or life coach. I understand that finding the right fit for a therapist or coach is significant, so thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.
I have a client-centered approach which means my goal is to help you achieve your goals. I will meet you exactly where you are and help you navigate the next steps towards your goal. I work together with my clients to figure out the right path and how to get there. I have an open mind and will listen to you without judgment. My goal is to make you feel safe, comfortable, and understood.
The feedback I most frequently receive from both clients and colleagues is that they find me to be a calm presence. I strive to understand my clients and to put myself in their shoes. I approach my clients with empathy and genuine compassion. It is my priority to ensure you feel heard and validated. I work collaboratively with all my clients to find the best way to achieve their desires and aspirations.
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, both from Colorado State University. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Colorado. In addition, I have completed training in Gottman Method therapy (Levels 1 & 2). I have received training on various therapeutic approaches during my Masters, such as in Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy, Mindfulness practices, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
As you continue to read on, you will learn more specifically about my background and the services I provide. I look forward to hearing from you and discussing with you in your free consultation how we might work together to pursue your aspirations.
In my role as a couples therapist and relationship coach, I work with a variety of couples at all stages of their relationship. My goal is that you will be able to revitalize and strengthen your bond with one another in our work together. I can support you in building a relationship where each of you can feel seen, heard, understood, and valued to help you both feel more connected to each other. I can help you have significant, sometimes difficult, conversations, help facilitate healthy, open communication skills, work on negative conflict cycles, and increase connection and trust within your relationships.
I use evidence-based forms of marriage counseling, such as Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT) to help my couples feel connected, increase their communication skills, and help decrease conflict. If I am serving you as a relationship coach or premarital counselor, I use the same evidence-based ideas to help you achieve your goals for your relationship.
Here is a list of some areas I can support you and your partner/s with:
In addition to couples counseling, I also work with families. When I work with families, I use a systemic lens, which allows us to better understand how your family operates as a unit and how each family member uniquely contributes to the overall family dynamic. This means that each family member can be a part of the solution that takes you closer to your goals. Together, we can uncover and map your family’s communication patterns and interactional cycles. My goal is to ensure that each member of the family feels heard, understood, and seen and to help your family unit develop a plan of action to achieve your goals.
I can work with families with the following situations:
Another branch of my work is helping people through life coaching. If you are looking for ways to improve yourself or your relationships and would like to work together to develop a plan of action to achieve your personal growth goals, we may be a great fit for working together!
If you’re looking to enhance your life, learn new skills, create meaningful change, and obtain greater insight into yourself, life coaching can help. My role as a life coach is to empower you, encourage you, and brainstorm how to achieve your goals.
Life coaching with me can help you:
In addition to coaching individuals, couples, and families, I also provide psychotherapy services for individuals of all ages in the state of Colorado. I can provide family therapy as well. I can help you work through personal issues or overcome mental health concerns like anxiety or depression.
When providing psychotherapy, I utilize evidence-based techniques & theories such as Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy, Mindfulness practices, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These models provide a framework and structure to understand what is causing you distress and address it. I work with my clients to find what works best for them. I combine a developmental perspective with therapeutic approaches to create a supportive environment to explore challenging issues.

I grew up and currently live in Colorado with my husband. We have two dogs, Winnie and Finn, and two cats, Piper and Rex. In addition to my pets, I have a lovely collection of plants and am known as the “plant lady.” I love the outdoors, whether that is hiking or camping.
I am looking forward to the opportunity to meet you.
