Person pulling up another person on a hike. Daring to trust again.

Daring to Trust Again

“How can I ever trust again?” As a Denver breakup recovery therapist, I get this question all the time from clients in breakup therapy. It especially comes from people who are in the process of recovering from a bad breakup, or working to repair trust in the aftermath of a betrayal.

It makes sense: When you’ve been hurt by someone you loved, it can feel scary to open yourself back up again.

I was recently invited to write about that subject on Intent.com, a website devoted to personal growth and self discovery. In my article, “Daring to Trust Again,” I shared my best advice for how to move forward fearlessly, especially in new relationships. If you’ve been struggling to open your heart back up, I hope you check it out.

Master The Art Of Modern Dating

Modern dating is challenging, but can also be incredibly effective with a good strategy. The rules have changed for everyone and new obstacles are in place on all sides.

People with lots of choices tend to be picky, and this makes people more judgemental than they used to be years ago before online dating. You’ll want to be sure to be on top of your game in order to make a good impression, but you also don’t want to change who you are to make a better first impression.

Learning To Filter Fast

When it comes to online dating, you’ll be meeting a lot of people. Not every single one of these people is going to be right for you, so learning how to filter based on your needs and goals is a good step in the process. It’s not just about you making an impression on them, this is a two-sided process. You want the person you are dating to be right for you, too.

A Multidimensional Dating Strategy

This requires you to have good personal branding, make the most of all your opportunities for connection, and learn to filter these different choices by handling early communication in a way that helps you find the one that you are looking for.

Utilize A Dating Coach

Online dating is a tricky process and can be exciting, intimidating, and overwhelming all at once! No wonder why the dating coaching industry has been on the rise, huh? It helps to have someone in your corner who really sees you and can help you navigate this new stage.

Because I believe that everyone deserves support in this way, I developed an online “Find the One” dating course. This way, if you’re not ready to meet one-on-one with a dating coach, you can still have the benefits and resources to better prepare you for the dating world. I hope that this class can bring you the information you need in a way that feels both safe and accessible, both financially and emotionally.

5 Steps To Find The One

  1. Clarity

Know what you want in a potential partner, and what you would be willing to share in a relationship.

  1. Personal Branding

You are amazing, so make sure to show that off! Your personal brand helps potential partners understand who you are, while allowing you to feel confident and secure in yourself while dating.

  1. Utilize All Your Connection Opportunities

Part of modern dating is utilizing your social network in a way that helps you meet other like minded people. Building up these communities online will aid you in finding someone you really click with.

  1. Turn Communication Into Connection

Learn how to filter fast, because not everyone is going to be a match for you. And guess what? That is okay! This will help you to focus on the people that are right for you.

  1. Dating With Confidence And Intention

Creating chemistry with the people you meet will ensure that they want to get to know you better. We will also look at warning signs, and things that could potentially evolve into a strong, healthy partnership.

I hope this helps you, and that you are able to take the leap into this new stage!

With love,
