Welcome To Growing Self Counseling & Coaching
Dr. Lisa Marie Bobby
Founder & Director of Growing Self Counseling & Life Coaching
Dr. Lisa Marie Bobby: Founder of Growing Self
Just like you, I’ve had to grow and evolve throughout my life. Through my growth experiences I realized the most meaningful thing for me is to be of service to other people — as a wife and mom, “auntie” and friend, but also in my career. (Here’s my “origin story”). With my particular blend of interests and talents I decided that the best way for me to be helpful to others was as a counselor. So, off I went to counseling school.
Marriage Counselor, Therapist, and Life Coach
I’ve since earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado. This trained me as a general practitioner therapist, and also gave me specialized training as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I decided that I loved my career so much that I wanted to continue my education, so I then earned a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado to become a Psychologist. After all that, I decided to became a Board Certified Life Coach. Now I have a decade of experience helping people create more Love, Happiness, and Success in their lives and I’m here, ready to help you too.
Available In Denver, Across America, and Internationally
I help my clients create more love, happiness and success through marriage counseling and relationship coaching, life coaching, and individual therapy. I meet with individuals and couples all over the world because I specialize in online life coaching, online marriage counseling and online therapy. ( You can learn more about online therapy here.) If you prefer in-person services, that’s no problem: We can meet with you at our Denver Colorado office (in Cherry Creek) or at our Broomfield Colorado location (just south of Boulder Colorado).
Let’s Talk About Love, Happiness and Success
In addition to my work with clients, I’m a writer and speaker. I’m the author of “Exaholics: Breaking Your Addiction to Your Ex Love” (available at Barnes and Noble, and on Amazon.com) and I blog about “Love, Happiness and Success” at www.drlisabobby.com.
I am the host of The “Love, Happiness & Success” Podcast (available on iTunes), I’ve been featured on multiple national news stations (FOX 5 NYC, Denver CBS News, Denver 7, Denver FOX 31, FOX 35 Orlando) as a relationship expert, and featured in Time.com, the New York Post, Natural Health Magazine, HuffPost Live, SiriusXM (Doctor Radio), Reign Magazine, Self.com, DatingAdvice.com, and the Marilou Henner Show.
I’m one of nine national Dating Coaches trained at the world headquarters of Match.com. I’m the lead “ExPert” on breakup recovery for Exaholics.com, I’ve hosted personal development events through the “Fresh City Life” educational series through the Denver Public Library, and I’ve served on the board of the Colorado Psychological Association.
This Isn’t About Me: It’s About YOU.
My training and credentials mean nothing if they don’t help you. I believe that you deserve to have a life full of love, happiness and success. My unique blend of expertise as a Marriage Counselor, Therapist, and Life Coach, helps me work with individuals and couples on several levels simultaneously using a variety of evidence-based strategies. As a therapist, I can help you understand yourself on a deep, core level – the level where powerful, transformational, lasting changes happen. As a Licensed Marriage Counselor, I can help you understand how to have better relationships. My training as a Board Certified Life Coach allows me to help you take action, and begin practicing the day-to-day strategies that will actually transform your life.
Growing Self Brings You The Best
I love being a therapist, marriage counselor and life coach, and being helpful partner to people on their journey of growth. It’s incredibly meaningful and rewarding to me.
But awhile ago, I realized that it was impossible for me to work one-on-one with everybody. Furthermore, I strongly believe that life-changing personal growth work shouldn’t be a luxury only available for a privileged few.
I decided that (in addition to working with clients personally) I could be of more service to the world by creating a network of smart, experienced, kind and effective therapists and counselors. I scour the globe to find the best talent, and make their services accessible to you in a convenient and affordable format. I work with everyone my team directly, so even if we don’t get to meet personally I’ll still be involved in your case.
Free Help, On Demand: Advice, Podcasts, Online Classes
I believe that my highest purpose is to help people grow, become stronger and happier, and strengthen their relationships and families. That is why I’m here to support your growth in every way — whether or not you choose to work with us.
Here at GrowingSelf.com you’ll find a blog that is full of articles and free advice intended to help you. You can listen to the Love, Happiness and Success Podcast which focuses on bringing you helpful, actionable guidance. You can also take our online Happiness Class, that offers you the same ideas and skills that we teach our private clients in an inexpensive, online format.
I’m so glad you’ve found us, and given us the opportunity to support you on your journey of growth and change – either through this website, or through a personal relationship with a coach or counselor. You deserve all the love, happiness and success in the world. We are honored to help you create it.
With love and respect,
Dr. Lisa Marie Bobby

Career, Executive and Life Coaching
“Hi, I’m Dr. Kristi Helvig. I’m a Clinical Psychologist and Certified Life Coach. I have both a Master’s Degree and PhD in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, and I’m licensed as a Psychologist in Colorado. I have over 15 years of experience in helping adults, teens, and couples use their strengths to overcome their obstacles through a blend of coaching, powerful cognitive-behavioral techniques, and solution-focused strategies. My range of professional experiences is vast, including having been the lead psychologist for the Mental Health Center of Denver.”
“Years ago I discovered that my passion is as a Career Coach and Life Coach, where I assist you in finding the clarity, direction, and strategies to move you forward in your life, both personally and professionally. Whether you want to excel in your current profession, transform your career, or start your own business, I can help you identify the concrete steps to get you there. I use career and personality assessments to help you get deeper insight into your strengths and abilities.”
“In addition to my work with private career coaching clients I work closely with organizations to help their teams manage job stress, improve their personal productivity, and develop more cohesive and satisfying working relationships. I particularly enjoy helping extremely high achieving people who are at the top of their function at the very highest level of their potential — and to find genuine satisfaction and pleasure in doing so.”
“No matter what kind of coaching we do together, I believe in a collaborative relationship and we will work as a team to develop the best course of action for your specific goals. We break down the goals into manageable action steps that bring you progressively closer to your objective. I’m a believer in “homework” meaning we create smaller goals that you complete in between sessions, so that we can address unexpected obstacles along the way. Through our coaching relationship, we can turn your dreams into reality.”
Dr. Kristi is available to meet with you in-person at our Greenwood Village / DTC office location, and across the US and internationally through online video.

Heartfelt, Gentle, and Healing
Do you ever feel like you are just going through the motions of life? Do you ever feel lonely or misunderstood, or find it difficult to express your emotions to the people around you? Are you longing to create a deeper intimacy and connection with your partner?
If so, I’m here to help. I’m Anastacia Sams: a therapist, life coach, and marriage counselor who is all about helping you create the very best life for yourself. I work by helping you get in touch with your truth, and your feelings. I believe that discovering “the real you” allows you to grow, bring authenticity and confidence into your relationships, and create a truly fulfilling and joyful life.
I also believe that a huge part of life is loving, and being loved, and that we all deserve to feel connected, respected and secure in our relationships. I love working with couples to help them create healthy, happy partnerships and families. When working with couples and families, I use the evidence-based Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy approach. I can help you understand each other, and learn how to communicate with positivity and compassion. This allows you to have deeper intimacy, trust, and connection.
If you’re looking to do personal growth work individually, I’m here for you. In fact, my passion is helping people heal from past hurts so they can move forward into a more fulfilling and joy-filled life. Whether you’re working with me as a therapist or life coach, I use powerful experiential techniques to help you release old “baggage,” increase your self esteem, and give you tools to feel happier and have more satisfying relationships.
I’ve been told that my warm, gentle style immediately sets people at ease. Working with me, you’ll feel safe, cared for, and understood. And through that non-judgmental understanding, you will heal, grow, and — most importantly — understand yourself.
The painter Walter Anderson once said, “We’re never so vulnerable than when we trust someone – but paradoxically, if we cannot trust, neither can we find love or joy.” My hope is that you will trust me to embark on a journey of healing together, with you.
