Hi there, my name is Megan, and I am so glad you found me! I am a Denver therapist who specializes in career coaching, professional development coaching, and life coaching, as well as therapy. If you're seeking a forward-focused coach who will encourage and motivate you;  help you reconnect with your optimism and drive; and feel renewed excitement about your life, we might be a great fit to work together.

My Positive, Empowering Approach to Personal Growth

I've had numerous career coaching and therapy clients describe their time with me as insightful and invigorating. I often hear the phrase “I have never thought of it that way!” I've had feedback that my counseling and coaching style is authentic, caring, and enthusiastic. If we work together, I hope that you have the same experience.

My goal is that you feel seen by me through my genuine questions and affirming responses or comments. But more importantly, as you help me understand you, you'll be developing a deeper understanding of yourself. Then, my job (which I love) is to help you realize your own strengths and talents, which will empower you to create meaningful change in your life.

I am a Nationally Certified Counselor, recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors. Additionally, I am a Certified Career Counselor, recognized by the National Career Development Association. My master's degree is in counseling and career development.

With these credentials, I am able to explore the complex nature of work, diving deeper into hopes, fears, insecurities, successes, and failures. When you meet with me, you will not experience just a coach or just a therapist. Due to my unique training, I am able to blend my therapy, counseling, and coaching skills to provide a holistic approach to growth.

As a Career Coach and Career Development Specialist

As a career coach and career counselor, I hold firmly to the belief that each individual I interact with has the potential to transform their own lives. To best support you through this process of transformation, I am intentional in providing a safe and secure place for you to explore, experience, grow and occasionally fail in all areas of your career journey. It is my hope that in this space, you will come to embrace a growth mindset, transforming the way you view yourself and your life journey.

Career Exploration

You might currently be feeling the way so many of my other career coaching clients have when they began working with me: Like you have reached a crossroads in your life and are unsure how to proceed. You're aware that certain actions may need to be taken in order to usher in a transition, but taking that next step can feel so paralyzing. Especially when you have lots of options, and are genuinely unsure about which path to take.

I am here to offer you support and guidance through that “What am I doing with my life!?” growth-moment. Because I have so much experience specifically with career transitions, career exploration, and career development, I can help you dive deeply into all the areas that will help you get clarity.

We might discuss workplace values, your passions and talents, what you love, what you're good at, review your work history, discuss your approach to connecting with possible employers, discover personal strengths, or even explore a new field of work entirely.

Career Assessments and Career Clarity

My process involves guiding you through a variety of experiential activities to help you gain self-awareness and clarity. These may include a variety of career assessments, focused brainstorming that opens you up to new possibilities, activities that help you make potentially life-changing decisions with confidence, and more.

Most importantly, I'll be asking you to connect with what's most important to you on a big-picture level. Your career is but one part of a whole, healthy, and satisfying life. It is my hope that through our work together, you'll achieve greater self-awareness, clarity about your next steps, and the confidence to take action.

Resume Writing and Interview Coaching

When you're ready to put yourself out there we can move into the action phase of career coaching which may include things like developing new “job acquisition skills,” professional networking, and even things like interview coaching, salary negotiations, resume writing, cover letter strategies, and more.

Career Development Coaching

My value in your life doesn't stop once you've “gotten the job.” If you're like so many of my career coaching clients, you are already on your chosen path. Your goal is to develop yourself to the fullest so that you can attain the highest and most satisfying levels of professional achievement.

If that's your intention, our work together might focus on things like increasing your emotional intelligence skills; learning how to communicate more assertively; developing the organizational, personal productivity or time management skills you need to be successful; knowing how to handle difficult professional relationships, or even how to cope with a toxic work environment. I can help you with work/life balance, managing stress and so much more.

You deserve to have a career that you love on every level, and I am here to help you create it.

As a Therapist

While I specialize in career coaching, career development coaching, and life coaching, I am also trained as a therapist and able to provide mental health services to residents of Colorado.

In my role as a therapist, I value autonomy, grace, humility, honesty, and respect. Valuing your autonomy helps you feel more empowered and able to take ownership of the choices in your life journey.

The safety of our relationship can provide you with a soft place to fall, and give yourself permission to learn from your “failures.” Honesty and respect will be the foundation I stand on so that you always feel accepted and welcomed, no matter your identity or life experience.

While my number one goal as your therapist is for you to feel heard, understood, and supported by me, I am also here to help you achieve growth and healing through active, evidence-based forms of therapy. My approach is positive, forward-focused, and emphasizes your strengths and growth opportunities.

About Me

Born and raised in sunny Southern California, I have been a proud Colorado dweller for over 6 years. After moving to Fort Collins in 2014, I quickly fell in love with the Rocky Mountains, craft beer, and the snow. I am a two-time alumna of Colorado State University, Go Rams!

I hold a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies as well as a Master’s of Arts in Counseling and Career Development, specializing in career counseling.

I have been fortunate enough to spend much of my professional life working in counseling centers, and career centers. I enjoy working with people of all ages, stages, and phases!

I have recently discovered a love for cooking and enjoy creating new dishes with my partner. Over the weekends, you can find me deep in the mountains hiking or camping, maybe even both.

I am available to meet with you by online Zoom Video.
